Steel Enclosures and Cabinets

Since our inception into other markets, we have specialised in the manufacture of weatherproof kiosks, control panels and cabinets for all industries.

We have highly trained staff able to produce high quality cabinets within short times at competitive prices. We are able to offer cabinets in both mild steel and stainless steel and have a local powder coating facility at hand, which enables us to have complete control over every aspect of manufacture.

We manufacture a range of mild steel and stainless steel weatherproof kiosks. We have attached a list for these items. If the size of kiosk you require does not appear on this page then please contact us and we will prepare a quotation by return.

Floor standing enclosures are normally manufactured to IP54 and are of the fully welded type construction and sprayed to a BS colour of your choice. All our enclosures are manufactured to the customers' specific requirements and would include all punching, cut outs, gear plates, cable ways and bus bar chambers (where required).

Specification

The kiosks are manufactured from 2mm zintec sheet steel to BS6687-1986 (chromate washed substrate BS1449-2.5 microns)

The kiosks are press-formed and welded construction and are supported by the appropriate certification to IP55 of BS5490 to give excellent weather protection and good earth continuity and finished to the following paint specification: -

1. Degrease and clean to remove surface dirt
2. 1-coat of 2-pack etching primer
3. Air dry for 1-hour
4. 2-coats of pure polyester powder paint to give a minimum dry film thickness of 50 microns
5. Stove at 180 degrees for 45 minutes
6. Internal Hinges
7. The finished colour is dark green shade RAL 6005 textured type finish as standard. Other colours are available with a small premium.

The kiosks are fitted with the following equipment as standard: -

1. 2-kiosk lifting brackets (Not applicable to smaller, non-standard kiosks. Unless requested)
2. 14mm floor fixings
3. Door retaining stay(s) to hold door(s) open at 90 degrees
4. Flush 7mm triangular door locks
5. Full height mounting rails at the rear of each section
6. Internal hinges
7. Earthing points
